Bridesmaids

Year : 2011
Runtime : 125 Min.
Genre : Comedy
Director : Paul Feig
Movie Stars : Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne
Country: USA

Why are they wearing different dresses in the poster than they do in the movie? Just asking...

This story is very well written and acted out. Hilarious and female ruled film filled with hilarious shit (literally), heart warming moments, "friendly" competition, and tons of laughs. This may look like a chick flick but trust me your guy (or if you are a guy) will love this movie. It's just funny!  The characters, even Helen, are just absolutely lovable. We have the rich uptight girl, the dysfunctional, the weird but adorable, and many other sides of people. Plus a cute Irish man and annoying Brits. How can it get any better?

Yes I know the review is really short, but hey it was a good film for everyone with any sense of humor and maybe relationship problems. Just stop reading this and go see for yourself if you have not already.

True Blood: S4 E2

Show: True Blood
Season: 4
Episode: 2
Original Airing: July 3, 2011

WOW! The season picks up in just the second episode. True Blood Episode Two is where things begin to tie in and the drama is building. Gosh, I wish I could watch all the episodes in one night. Forget that one episode per Sunday. I'm eating my words about the "loosely" part of my episode one review.

I know this review is early, but if you seen the True Blood commercials on HBO you know that they had a special viewing for the second episode on their itunes app and various HBO websites. Luckily for you guys that are reading this I embedded the episode at the bottom of this post. It's uploaded at Megavideo so it's free to watch. Enjoy. As usually I make the plot review short and to the point, as many of you are going to be watching the episode yourself in just a few minutes if you have not seen it already.

True Blood Season 4 Premiere

Show: True Blood
Season: 4
Episode: 1
Original Airing: June 26, 2011

Last night I watched the season 4 premiere of HBO's hottest show since the Sopranos. The season is supposed to loosely follow the fourth book of the Sookie Stackhouse series.  So far I don't see any resemblances to the book besides the coven of witches.  But I digress, this season is sure to be full of surprises, twists, plenty of blood, and the sexy vamp Eric Northman.  I'll try and keep the episode summary short and to the point.

The fairy world is everything you would think it sure be, right- magical people, beautiful woman, golden fruit, and goblins.... wait? Did I say goblins? The fairy world is not what it is supposed to be as Sookie soon finds out. The queen fairy is set on sealing off the fairy world from the human and she will not let Sookie escape. Good thing Sookie didn't eat the golden fruit! Sookie finds her long lost grandpa who is supposedly dead. At first he does not recognize her, because according to him Sookie is still a seven year old girl.  The Grandpa realizes that what seemed like hours was 20 years.

Director : Rajkumar Hirani

A nice heart felt comedy about a gangster duo who must leave their ways behind in order to get the girl of on their dreams and stand up for what is right using the hardest to maneuver weapon of all- nonviolence.    This is one of those movies. You know, those movies that make you feel all bubbly inside, give you power and confidence but ultimately you never act upon these ideas. I always find these types of movies a little depressing but still worth a watch.

Varalaru: History of Godfather

Year : 2006
Runtime : 166 Min.
Genre : Comedy, Drama, Action
Director : K. S. Ravikumar
Movie Stars : Ajith Kumar, Asin Thottumkal, Kanika Subramaniam
Country: India
Language : Tamil

A super hit blockbuster Tamil film staring Ajith and Asin in it's leading roles. Ajith playes a total of three roles each with it's own unique characteristics. Ajith was brilliant! He is equally adjusted to playing the spoiled rich son as he is to playing a false cripple, homicidal lunatic, and devoted son.

I'm glad I watched thou this was not the story I was expecting (Darn you false plot summaries). I was planning on watching a comedy about a spoiled rich kid sent to a farm village with the false thought of it being a huge brothel full of beautiful women. That is only about 30 minutes of the movie the rest is an action suspense story about a man who at first seems to be losing his mind as he commits terrible acts. Only later does the audiences realize this is not your average psychological story and is more than it seems.

Neo Ned

Year : 2005
Runtime : 97 Min.
Genre : Drama,Romance

Director : Van Fischer
Movie Stars :Jeremy Renner, Gabrielle Union, Sally Kirkland, Cary Elwes, Ethan Suplee
Country: USA
Language : English

A good story played out by awesome actors. Jermy Renner (Ned) plays a very convincing Neo Nazi. Although I don't believe his character was a true racist. It's more likely that he just wanted some where to belong due to his lack of supporting environment.  Gabrielle Union looks so much older without all the makeup and glam. This movie came out in 2005 and Gabrielle looks younger in later film Daddy's Little Girls  which released in 2007. All in all this was an surprisingly pleasant and bit funny movie that deals with the sensitive topic of race and interracial relationships.

PLOT: They say opposites attract. What about a misguided neo nazi who falls for a Black woman in a mental institution? What starts out as an impossible connection of opposites slowly turns into a wild, emotional story of love, romance revolving around two people who shouldn't be together, but after meeting them you'll know they should never be apart.

From this angle Gabrielle looks like a man

Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!

Year : 2008
Runtime : 152 Min.
Genre : Crime, Drama

Director : Dibakar Banerjee
Movie Stars :Abhay Deol,Neetu Chandra, Paresh Rawal
Country: India
Language : Hindi

Hindi: ओए लक्की! लक्की ओए!
English: Hey Lucky!Lucky Hey!

A lot of people will not like this movie. It doesn't have big name Bolly stars, fancy foreign locations, dance numbers, or even ridiculous romances. This is one of those "thinking movies"  and not an entertainer. I wanted an entertainer comedy but what I found was a serious drama. Would I ever what to watch this again? No. Was it a terrible movie? No. Did I really like it? No.  As I stated this is not the kind of movie that I usually go, but it showed realistic view of Delhi and a  thief who steals not for the money but for something not as easily found.

Question: Where are the snow and mountain scenes from the movie shot?

IMDB:Inspired by the incredible true story of Lucky Singh, an extremely charismatic and fearless confident man and thief who socialized with the rich, famous and influential of Delhi society and then proceeded to rob them blind. He was the bête noire of the police and had stolen millions by the time he was caught. A modern day Robin Hood with a twist, he robbed both the rich and the poor without prejudice. Nothing was too big nor was anything too insignificant to escape his attention. The film opens with his trial and charts his rise from the projects of crime ridden suburban Delhi to the very heart of the corridors of power. Along the way he makes lifelong friends, falls in love an manages to outwit the entire law and order machinery.

Peepli Live

A cleaver eye opener to farmer suicides in India but laughable and funny at the same time. I love how well this movie blends comedy and serious issues of India. I think that is what made this movie so watchable for me because I can laugh but still find like I've learned something. The issue of farmer suicides is a terrible truth. In the film the government is depicted as being selfish and uncaring toward their farming citizens, which after all makes up 70 percent of the  Indian population. At the end of the movie when the film crews just packs up and leaves this poor rural community with nothing more than a few minutes of fame. This was the saddest part for me because they just witnessed a village full of people below the poverty line and after they got what they needed (their story) they just left without a thought more about these people. But what really is sad is that there are tons more out there like this village.

IMDB:In the lead up to state elections in the Indian village of Peepli, two poor farmers, Natha and Budhia, face losing their land over an unpaid bank loan. Desperate, they seek help from an apathetic local politician, who scornfully suggests they commit suicide to benefit from a government program that aids the families of indebted deceased farmers. When a journalist overhears Budhia urge Natha to "do what needs to be done" for the sake of their families, a media frenzy ignites around whether or not Natha will commit suicide.

I agree. George W (bastard) did it! He stole Natha!
Sure... We are what we eat (...ate in this case)
You don't heard that too often

I couldn't agree more
He doesn't look thrilled
"why did..."  past tense form of that word isn't used too often

Wow
If he is fat than we much all be obese.  I'm sure he was being sarcastic so "BEEP" you guy on  cycle.
