A super hit blockbuster Tamil film staring Ajith and Asin in it's leading roles. Ajith playes a total of three roles each with it's own unique characteristics. Ajith was brilliant! He is equally adjusted to playing the spoiled rich son as he is to playing a false cripple, homicidal lunatic, and devoted son.
I'm glad I watched thou this was not the story I was expecting (Darn you false plot summaries). I was planning on watching a comedy about a spoiled rich kid sent to a farm village with the false thought of it being a huge brothel full of beautiful women. That is only about 30 minutes of the movie the rest is an action suspense story about a man who at first seems to be losing his mind as he commits terrible acts. Only later does the audiences realize this is not your average psychological story and is more than it seems.
The movie could have (Should of) been edited a lot better. Their were many unnecessary subplots and dialogues that just tired the movie out. For example, that whole rich kid going to a farm thing could have been cut. Yes this is where Vishnu meets Divya, but they could have crossed paths some other way that did not take up so much time and patience. For such an amazing story line and actors all these tiring moments weighted the film down.
Kick Out Moments
Those moments that should never have been filmed because they make no sense or are just straight-out terrible.
1. Jeeva's blue contacts. They are nice contacts don't get me wrong, I think Paris Hilton wears them, but if Jeeva and Vishnu are identical twins, which they must be, how would one have blue eyes whereas the other has brown.2 Sivashankar's wheelchair. The man did not have to spend 20 plus years in a wheelchair to convince his son that his mother died in a car accident. Tons of people walk away from car accidents with minor injuries while another person in the same car dies. This scene was just added for shock value when Sivashankar stood up in the fight scene.
3. Monkey Blood? It's what the college girls give to Vishnu's friends to make them itch. Why couldn't the director use something that people would know what is what, like say- itching powder?
